At the behest of The Crown, our Kingdom is about to embark on an adventure to enhance and strengthen our Community. A few months ago the idea was raised to create some sort of online registry, a ‘Who’s Who in Ealdormere’ if you will. After much discussion, the decision was made to use a resource that already existed within our lands. To use it, enhance it, and make it serve any Gentle of our Kingdom who chose to take part.
I speak of the Ealdormere Wiki. It is a wonderful tool for getting to know your neighbours, but in the past there have been concerns expressed about privacy and simplicity. We believe that those concerns have been addressed, and we will soon be rolling out a series of invitations, Barony by Barony, and Shire by Shire, to welcome all of you, if you choose to participate.
A few things to know, from the outset. Only you, as an individual, can establish a page for yourself. You decide on content, updates, changes, etc. Yes, there are ‘administrators’, but their job is to help you, if you need it, and to guide you along the way. Protecting your privacy is important.
When it comes to simplicity, those same administrators will be available via a dedicated email address, to receive your questions and comments, and offer assistance as it is needed.
In short, your page is exactly that; Yours. We want to work together with the populace to make this page into a great resource for building both individual connections, and our Kingdom as a whole.
The moderators/administrators for the Kingdom Wiki are Baroness Catherine Townson, the Honourable Lady Gwendolyn of Aldburg, and the Honourable Lord Dietrich von Sachsen.
In the next week and a half or so, we will begin posting to the Baronies, in order of precedence, the links and other basic information that their folks will need to join in, followed soon after by the Shires.
This is going to take some time, and we thank you for your patience.
to a stronger Ealdormere! WASSAIL!
