From the Baron and Baroness

Unto the good people of our Barony, do we Aeneas and Aibhilin send warm greetings.

Here are the latest “goings-on” in our fair Barony.

Champs

Lady Jenna and Lady Fruchan are the autocrats of Baronial Champs this year. After the tourney there will be a Kingdom fight practice. If you can offer any help please let them know. New for Champs this year is the Art and Sciences competition. The Art and Sciences competition for champs, will be judged on an art or science you have never tried before. This must be your first piece and must have been started since last Champs. The piece does not have to be completed. Be prepared to give verbal documentation on your piece. Creative documentation may garner you extra favour with the Baron and Baroness. We always appreciate a good story! The idea of this is to choose an Arts and Sciences champion for the Barony and to encourage everyone to try something new. The most important thing is to have fun with it!! Everyone will get to vote on their favourite piece. The champion, as are all the champions will ultimately be chosen by the Baron and Baroness. The will of the people will be weighted in this equation. Baronial Champs will be held July 15, 2006.

Camping Season

Camping season will soon be upon us. We will be attending Murder Melee and Trillium Wars, as well as Pennsic.  For Pennsic we have registered a camp site under the name
Barony of Rising Waters”.  Deadline for pre-registration on line is June 15th.  Mail in registration has all ready ended.
