Stories and Tales of Ramshaven
In the beginning...
...there were the wilds of the North. Then came Gillian, and the claiming of those wilds for the Crown of the Middle Kingdom, and there grew here a mighty barony called Septentria. Vast, from mighty rivers in the east to untraversable inland seas in the west; from fiercesome catarcts in the south to lands of far-frosted snow and cruel ice in the north.
In time, the barony grew in strength and multiplied in population, and divided itself so that the people might know those who governed them as best-loved locals, not distant voices but rarely met.
Came there a time when the Barons of Septentria, then Sir Cordigan D'Arnot and his lady wife Diane, decided that Septentria needed a firm presence in the west, to guard those reaches of the barony and the nascent principality of Ealdormere from the points at which our borders touched on those of our parent kingdom, the Midrealm. So was the Barony of Ramshaven born, carved from the rock and wood, the mighty heart and soul of Ealdormere, to ever be the guardians in the west.
Hear then, the words of Ragnheithr and Vali, not the first to wear the coronets of Ramshaven, but those who gave shape to the formless clay and built fast their steadings upon these lands, as they tell the story of the lands decreed by Cordigan and Diane, and inherited in their turn by Davin and Martya.
