Epilogue

Here ends the Second Book of the Chronicle of Eoforwic, in the tenth year of its history, in the twentieth year of the Society, and in the one thousand nine hundred and eighty fifth year of Mundane Reckoning.

Now Eoforwic has celebrated its Decennial festivities, and there is a Region created within this land, with Eoforwic within its Environs, and from the ranks of its populace a Champion and a Consort have been chosen, and they shall defend the region's name throughout the Known World.

Where once only barbarians lived, there has grown an expansive and prospering folk; where both Arts and the Sciences flourish and grow apace; where all are full fed and none may be seen beggars or wanting; where crops and cattle grow bountiful; where combat is chivalrous and swords meet in good cheer upon the field of honour; where lords and ladies may travel the roads without fear of lawlessness; and where all good folk may lift their voices and rejoice proudly.

As this book of the Chronicle of Eoforwic ends, it is to be hoped that others shall rise to continue this history and set down the names and places of those events that are yet to be, and make our glorious land that which it is.
